Description:
The role of the Executive Director is to animate the ministries of Bellarmine Jesuit Retreat House, by providing retreats and other programs inspired by the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola that open new pathways of heart and mind for coming to know and follow Jesus Christ. This is the mission enshrined in our Vision and Mission Statements, and embodied in our by-laws.
Requirements:
The Bellarmine Jesuit Retreat House located in Barrington, Illinois seeks a dynamic Executive Director to provide leadership, direction and supervision of all programs and activities at the retreat house. A candidate needs to be a Roman Catholic in good standing, committed to Ignatian Spirituality and have five to seven years of experience as a collaborative and visionary leader of an organization. Previous experience in development and fundraising are required, as are strong written and oral communication skills. A bachelor’s degree is required, but a master’s degree and training in spiritual direction are both desirable. Salary and benefits are commensurate with the position and experience.
