Description:
Dynamic and diverse Catholic parish in Chicago is seeking alto and tenor soloists and section leaders to support new Sunday morning choir and sing for holidays, holy days, and various additional Masses/services.
Responsibilities:
+ Regular participation in Sunday morning 10 a.m. Masses supporting the volunteer choir and the occasional Saturday evening Masses
+ Availability to sing for major holidays, including Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Palm Sunday, Easter Sunday and additional Advent and Lenten Liturgies
+ Other opportunities to solo and perform will be offered

Requirements:
Qualifications required:
+ Strong sight-reading skills
+ Experience or proficiency singing Gregorian chant, Renaissance polyphony, religious acclamations, and anthems
+ Experience working in a ministry setting with amateur and professional musicians
+ Must exhibit strong interpersonal skills and the qualities of responsibility,punctuality, and reliability
