Description:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Coordinates development office programs for benefactors and volunteers (Giving, sustainer, planned giving, new donors, One-to-one, prayer card, prayer list, oplatki, holiday, memorial and birthday cards). • Verifies and inputs donor data, including demographic, donation, membership, and personal information. • Acknowledges donor gifts. • Creates quarterly reports that track and report progress using specific metrics. • Processes credit card transactions, checks, and handles money. • Proficient with Microsoft Office software, especially Word and Excel. Manipulates data to produce specialized letters, mailing lists, labels, and reports. Produces, maintains, and edits spreadsheets. • Performs basic office tasks, such as receiving and placing phone calls; maintaining office equipment; sorting and distributing mail; filing, scanning. • Assists in the maintenance of the RE database, cleaning up data as necessary. • Coordinates and assists in the preparation of various mailings. • Assists with preparations for meetings and fundraising events as necessary. • Interacts with staff members within the organization, as well as board members, and donors. • Inventories development office supplies. • Other duties as assigned. Requirements for the Position • Adheres to the highest ethical standards; demonstrates empathetic disposition, and perseverance; reflects optimistic and positive attitude, and conveys sensitivity to needs of the donors. • Must be able to maintain high level of confidentiality and utilize good judgment. • Outstanding skills in organization, time management and detail-orientation including careful planning and follow-up. • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. • Excellent interpersonal skills: self-confident, assertive, and diplomatic, with a good sense of humor. • Ability to work independently and in a team and interact effectively.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in development, communications or related. • Minimum two years professional administrative experience, preferably within a development office • Proficiency in Microsoft Office • Experience with Raiser’s Edge preferred.
