Description:
Objective: To keep the infrastructure maintained in good working condition, as well as keeping it a safe and attractive environment. Buildings and grounds are kept in good condition for the benefit of retreatants, staff, and residents. Bellarmine is a pleasant, prayerful, and safe place to live and work.
General Responsibilities:
• Maintain and repair the retreat house and other buildings.
• Maintain boilers, HVAC systems, water softeners, compressors, wells, elevators, kitchen equipment, septic system, fire protection system, irrigation system, electrical and other mechanical systems.
• Maintain autos, tractors, mechanical yard and garden equipment.
• Maintain grounds, landscape, and snow removal in conjunction with contractors.
• Maintain building and construction supplies as needed, including pick-up and delivery.
• Work closely with other departments to ready the retreat house for retreat groups.
• Light and heavy disposal of trash and garbage.
• Provide equipment and furniture set-ups as needed by various groups using the facility.

Requirements:
• Related work experience as a mechanic
• Able to work Mondays and Fridays and read, write and speak English fluently
• Open to working in a Catholic organization and supporting faith based activities
• High level of detail orientation, strong communication and problem solving skills
• Highly self- motivated
• Virtus trained and/or willing to be trained within first month of employment
