Description:

The Redemptorists of the Denver Province, a non-profit group of Roman Catholic missionaries ministering throughout the United States, has an immediate need for a Development Office staff member in Chicago to serve as a contact with our benefactors and maintain accurate donor account records. Primary responsibilities include accurately coding and processing donor checks and credit card gifts, making daily electronic bank deposits, processing donor credit card information in our bank's lock box, mailing weekly gift acknowledgement letters, mailing monthly donation reminder letters, and providing weekly reports of larger gifts to management for an appropriate response. Qualified candidates must have excellent customer relations and telephone and written communications skills, as well as the ability to maintain the confidentiality of all donor information. The position is 32 hours per week, no benefits. Essential Duties and Skills: 1. Data entry and database maintenance in Blackbaud’s Relational database Raiser’s Edge, as well as competency in Microsoft Office Suite applications Access, Excel, Word, Outlook, Acrobat Reader. 2. Assist with all aspects of donor gift processing – coding gifts received in-house, make daily electronic bank deposits. 3. Acknowledge all donor donations received in-house and bank lockbox donations, prepare all outgoing mail for posting. 4. Update Excel spreadsheet Daily Remitter Report containing bank’s batch report information on daily bank deposits and review lockbox committed gifts provided by Resolutions Tech to accurately maintain donor records in Raiser’s Edge. 5. Assist Development Office with direct mail appeals and e-blasts, prepare mailings for different departmental programs, and communicate credit card refund adjustments or termination of recurring gift schedules in Luminate. 6. Coordinate enrollee information for various Denver Province Prayer Associations. 7. Qualified candidates have strong organizational skills and emphasize attention to detail, working knowledge of Raisers Edge, excellent communication and customer service skills, and the ability to communicate and work effectively with coworkers and management staff in small, busy office environment. Requirements:

Previous experience with Blackbaud Raisers Edge data base important but not required. General business administrative experience and donor/customer relations skill important.
