The part-time Payroll Administrator will report to the Payroll Manager.  This position is responsible for the processing and maintaining of payroll data, including validating of employees’ time reporting, earnings, taxes, and deductions.  Individual must have knowledge in federal, state, and local regulations, and exhibit excellent communication skills and detail oriented.


  • Process new hires, change forms such as employee job title changes, salary, status, and terminations
  • Reconciliation of payroll to ensure accurate processing of payroll transactions, which include validating hours, earning, deductions, and taxes.
  • Certify timesheet accuracy and validation of benefiit accruals (i.e., vacation, sick, and personal days)
  • Input of special pay requistions, calculatre retroactive pay, process garnishments, and enter voluntary/involuntary deductions. 
  • Ensure timely processing of payroll
  • Calculate payroll accruals and post payroll transactions to the General Ledger
  • Accountable for distribution of credentials to users of the timekeeping system
  • Respond to payroll queries from employees and vendors
  • Develop ad-hoc reports for financial analysis
  • Assist with year-end reconciliation
  • Other duties as assigned


  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Payroll Administration
  • Knowledge in Payroll Compliance
  • Competent in Microsoft Excel, including knowledge with PivotTabels and VLOOKUP
  • Proficient in PrimePay, Attendance on Demand, Lawson software
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) designation
