Position Overview
The Accounts Receivable Analyst will be responsible for billing, cash application, bank deposits, monthly A&R reports, customer assistance in billing to parishes and schools and will provide back-up support to the Accounts Payable operations.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Generates monthly statements to all the Parish, School, and Agency of the Archdiocese
  • Reconciles monthly A/R activity accounts
  • Daily deposits of all checks received into various bank accounts
  • Posts customer payments by recording cash, check transactions and EFT in Lawson
  • Resolves any issues with billing invoices and payments
  • Summarizes receivables by maintaining A/R activity accounts, coordinating monthly account activity, verifying totals, and preparing monthly reports
  • Provides back-up support to the Accounts Payable operations
  • Performs analysis of operations, transaction controls, as designed and implemented by finance function
  • Participates in the design, development and implementation of transformational initiatives to optimize and automate the Accounting and Reporting
  • As part of the AoC Finance team, ensure timely, accurate financial statements, and ensure internal controls are effectively implemented


  • 3+ years of experience in finance and accounting.
  • Not-for-profit experience is desired.
  • General accounting experience, with good business acumen and analysis capabilities.
  • Initiative-taking-ability to assume independence and suggest opportunities for continual improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills-ability to build confidence and trust.
  • Comfortable with high change environments and transformation/turnaround environments.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, including with non-Finance functions.
  • Strong detail orientation and willingness to engage in detail as necessary, without sacrificing the overall perspective of the operations and process.
  • Major financial systems experience is desirable:Microsoft Office suite; Lawson G/L or comparable, Hyperion/OneStream.
  • Demonstrated high integrity and ethics in all operations and responsibilities.
