Basic Function

The BI Analyst will be responsible for mapping business needs to data warehousing and business intelligence solutions centered on Microsoft technologies. S/he will also assess existing data warehousing and business intelligence solutions and recommend approaches for modernization

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Clean, categorize, standardize, normalize and integrate data collected into meaningful and accessible reports by product, time period, or other criteria as required
  • Provide data management, including appropriate structuring, stewardship of data, semantics/syntax of data attributes, coding structures, and mapping schemas.
  • Design ETL architecture including CDC, mappings, data flows, procedures, schedules, etc.
  • Design OLAP and semantic layer based on reporting requirements
  • Create and manage data governance policies, including policies around use and maintenance of Microsoft technologies such as Power BI
  • Manage current and future needs of the data design and content


  • 2+ years of experience in Data warehousing with specific experience in BI report development
  • 2+ years’ experience in Microsoft Power BI development Experience in developing Visualization reports and dashboards
  • Experience in Developing Power BI Reports and Dashboards
  • Experience in creating and deploying parameterized reports using Power BI
  • Data visualizations like Bar chart, Line chart, pie charts, forecast charts
  • Deep understanding in creating canned, ad-hoc, and time based reporting
  • Experience in Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
  • Cloud experience with Azure a plus
  • Create custom visualizations using R-Script Visualization a plus
  • Highly organized with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented self-starter who works effectively with minimal day-to-day supervision.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics, preferred, OR 2+ years of BI Development experience
