The Director of Inclusive Education (“Director”) promotes instructional strategies to ensure that schools beset serve students with differentiated learning needs. Through serving as an in-house expert and accessing outside agencies and resources, the Director promotes practices to support students with identified learning and behavioral needs, students that speak English as a second language, students defined as Gifted and Talented, and students with socio-emotional needs.  By doing so, the Director supports practices that enable different types of learners to benefit from a Catholic school education.

  • Promotes strategies that foster inclusion and differentiation throughout the Catholic schools of the Archdiocese. Provides resources and training for such practices.
  • Responds to individual principal, teacher, and parent inquiries about inclusion as needed, in coordination with the Regional Directors.
  • Defines and supports the Response to Intervention (RtI) process for the Catholic schools of the Archdiocese.
  • Liaisons with outside agencies (e.g. Child Find, Greeley Center at Loyola, etc.) that provide services and resources for inclusion. Proactively connects outside partners to schools in need of services and support.
  • Develops, proposes, and oversees the Individual Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) budget.
  • With the Regional Directors and Chief of Academics, ensures that all schools understand and adhere to applicable federal, state, and local laws as they relate to inclusion.
  • Works with the Director of Federal Programs to develop and oversee the budget for Title III.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Master’s Degree in Education with a focus on Special Education (or equivalent).
  • Experience as a teacher or counselor working in inclusive education. Administrative experience preferred.
  • Superior knowledge of best practices in inclusion and differentiation. Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to form, maintain, and leverage positive relationships with stakeholders and outside agencies; strong aptitude in information technologies.
  • Possess integrity, diligence, prudence, vision, sensitivity to diverse communities. Practicing Catholic preferred.
