Position Summary:

The Hispanic Engagement and Outreach Manager seeks to advance the Strategic Plan for Catholic School Vitality goal to implement dynamic systems of marketing with a particular emphasis on recruiting and supporting students of Hispanic background.  The Hispanic Engagement and Outreach Manager will work collaboratively with the Academic and Enrollment Marketing Teams at the Archdiocese of Chicago Office of Catholic Schools (OCS) to enhance three areas: 1) recruitment and retention of Hispanic families; 2) development of strategic alliances with leading Hispanic community organizations; 3.) fostering and coordinating cultural competency development amongst school leaders and communities; and 4) implementation of English Language Learner best practices. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert to the leadership of the OCS to capitalize on the Hispanic market opportunity and generate demand among Hispanic parents with school-aged children.  This individual will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all Hispanic family and community engagement initiatives within the OCS.

  • Utilize strategic partnerships to establish community-building events within schools to increase visibility and attract and retain Hispanic families.
  • Serve as a resource to the Enrollment Marketing Managers and selected school leaders and staff to implement recruitment efforts to attract Hispanic students and meet stated enrollment objectives.
  • Train OCS Enrollment Marketing staff and select school leaders on positioning their schools to successfully serve Hispanic students, lead strategic discussions, and enhance OCS and local schools’ brand presence within the Hispanic community.
  • Assist selected school leaders with developing and training school enrollment teams to identify and execute retention tactics to meet stated retention objectives.
  • Establish relationships with Hispanic community thought leaders to bolster the reputation of Catholic schools.
  • Support Archdiocesan efforts to attract, develop and retain Hispanic professionals to increase the number of Hispanic faculty and staff in the OCS and schools.
  • Foster and coordinate cultural competency efforts within the schools (as a system and individually) as well as the OCS.
  • Support Chief Academic Officer and Regional Directors to ensure that ELL protocols and instructional guidelines are implemented and followed throughout the Archdiocese of Chicago Catholic schools.
  • Assist Chief Academic Officer in coordinating professional development and support for English Language Learner (ELL) teachers and administrators, measuring the impact of ELL-related strategies.


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Fluency in spoken and written Spanish.
  • Prior experience with education and/or marketing preferred. Experience with the Hispanic population preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to serve as an effective team leader.
  • Strong aptitude for information technology (particularly Microsoft applications).
  • Ability to problem-solve and multi-task in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
