Basic Function

The ETL Developer will be responsible for implementing ETL processes using a variety of data sources across multiple SQL Servers and by leveraging and building-out our in-house data warehouse. S/he will participate in requirements gathering and designing the business process dimensional models and will conduct analysis on source data to determine how to best solve business needs. Resulting ETL processes should be scalable and replicable.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage current and future needs of the data design and content
  • Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain SQL code for ETL
  • Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain SSIS packages to perform ETL procceses
  • Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain SQL Server stored procedures, functions, and triggers to be used during the ETL process
  • Perform data profiling and source to target mappings for populating dimensional models
  • Capturing ETL and business metadata
  • Write scripts for automated testing of data in the target tables
  • Capture audit information throughout all phases of the ETL process
  • Write and maintain documentation of the ETL processes
  • Perform root cause analysis on processes, resolve production issues, validate data, perform routine tests on databases and provide support to assigned ETL applications
  • Conduct appropriate functional and performance testing to identify data quality issues
  • Collaborate with business partners to understand evolving needs of the data warehouse


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics OR 6+ years of ETL Development experience
  • 5+ years SQL Server Experience
  • 5+ years SSIS Experience
  • 3-5 years experience with data warehousing and business intelligence reports
  • 1-3 years experience with Microsoft Power BI
  • Dimensional modeling experience
  • Real-time data warehousing aggregation of analytical data and use of continuous or near real-time data loads
  • 3-5 years experience in operational reporting and dashboards
  • Cloud experience with Azure a plus
  • Detail-oriented self-starter who works effectively with minimal day-to-day supervision.

Strong organizational skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
