Description:

BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for managing the Digital Management areas required for successfully implementing the new digital web, social media and mobile presence for the archdiocese. This position is responsible for the branding, design and content associated with all archdiocese digital social, web and mobile presences. This management pertains to all Facebook, Twitter, Web or Mobile sites that the archdiocese and its agencies utilize. Governance processes are implemented and controlled through this organization to manage the collection, development and publishing of information to any of our digital sites. Key centralized content management is performed by this group along with managing/approving any work performed by other agencies, departments or partners. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES•Plan, coordinate and supervise activities related to content development, technical development and implementation of Web-based sites for the Archdiocese of Chicago •Build website solutions to meet the business and user requirements of the Archdiocese of Chicago •Provide testing and support oversight for all supported websites content and media •Review and analyze existing websites with a goal of continuous improvement of applications. This includes review of various Search Engine Optimization (SEO) or Google Analytics in order to improve the impact and exposure of websites •Research new technologies and make recommendations for product or service upgrades •Interfaces with Information technology to assure that all required development of web, mobile platforms, databases and integrations are completed in a timely manner.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent, advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in Web-application development and support. Minimum of 1 year of experience in Google Analytics. Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing and delivering web content utilizing enterprise frameworks and templates through a content management solution. This includes acting as overall webmaster for multiple enterprise websites. Strong problem solving skills with the ability to think independently. Ability to work as a member of a team and partner with others. Ability to remain flexible and adapt to quickly changing requirements. Self-motivated with the ability to complete projects under tight deadlines. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Strong customer service orientation. Knowledge of data privacy practices and issues. Must demonstrate understanding, respect and support for Catholic Church teaching, mission, and values. Hiring Preference will be given to candidates who are Catholic
