Description:

Basic Functions Collaborates with key professionals as well as Parish Vitality and Mission staff to assist in executing events and calendared projects. Responsible for the successful completion of system events, including (but not limited to) professional gatherings and retreats, award ceremonies, fund-raisers, technology conferences, and other events furthering systemic growth. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Creates and coordinates Office calendar to reflect the priority of providing resources the events.* 2. Work with other Communication Staff to design communication promoting Archdiocese events that range from small spiritual and formation sessions to large, 2000+ person events..* 3. Executes the details around Archdiocese calendared events: Leadership Days, Professional Development, Awards, retreats, webinars, Archdiocese Staff Days, Pastors’ Events, and other events as developed by Archdiocese Staff and approved by the Co-Directors.* 4. Administrative duties as assigned 5. Develops relationships with product suppliers, vendors and providers 6. Manages on-line registration process for events 7. Manages automated payment process for events 8. Serves on other committees and task forces as assigned by the Co-Directors. 9. Pursues opportunities for spiritual and professional growth. 10. Performs other duties as designated by the Co-Directors and Chief of Staff.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts field or related. Minimum 2 years’ experience in customer service and administrative duties; experience in coordinating successful events. Strong organizational, time management and technical skills with the ability to handle complex projects and multiple projects simultaneously. Team oriented with focus on collegiality, fairness, and ability to engage other AoC Departments. Sensitive to racially and ethnically diverse community and ability to interact with individuals from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Strong decision making ability with the ability to show sound judgement, be fair and balanced, act with integrity, and be collaborative. Self-motivated, dependable and persistent, with an openness to the needs of the system. Must demonstrate understanding, respect and support for Catholic Church teaching, mission and values. Must appreciate role of schools as ministry of the Archdiocese.
